Our community access and day options cater for adults with intellectual disabilities, providing activities, support and developmental training. We currently offer group day options for adults with disabilities in NSW and the ACT as well as Headway, our Illawarra / Wollongong based group, specifically designed for people with acquired brain injury providing a safe and supported space designed to improve lifestyle outcomes and develop new skills.
Our disability services Community Access and Day Options have a strong focus on community participation and independent living skills development. Participants typically attend 3-5 days each week and are encouraged to be involved in activities such as cooking, shopping, communication and social interaction, games, crafts and more. There are also regular day trips for activities that are appropriate to the individual’s level of ability, meeting personal goals such as swimming and horse-riding.
We also have day option models which cater for people with high support needs. This includes people who use wheelchairs, require additional support, have particular medical needs or require specific personalised assistance.
