Community Building Partnership grant boosts KidsWish program delivery

On Wednesday 1 October 2025, Anna Watson MP visited KidsWish House for a cheque presentation recognising a $50,000 NSW Community Building Partnership grant awarded to KidsWish, a charity of The Disability Trust.

Families from Saturday Club – including the Browne family – joined the celebration. Guests were welcomed by KidsWish’s Emily Wright and Amy Millington, with Helen Bugg representing The Disability Trust. Morning tea was kindly provided by the Plant Room Café.

The grant will fund a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, increasing KidsWish’s capacity so more children can access our programs across the Illawarra – more sessions, more places, more often.

This practical investment reduces barriers to participation and helps children and young people build confidence, friendships and skills.
