Counting down to the 50-Year Fun Day

By DYLAN BROWN

As you may know by now, The Disability Trust is celebrating its 50th anniversary.  To mark this momentous occasion, there are going to be some celebrations.

One of these will be the 50-Year Fun Day, held at 5 Edney Lane, Spring Hill, on Saturday, the 12th of October. The day will start at 11am and conclude at 3pm.  Everyone is invited, including past and present clients, staff and their families.

The Plant Room café will be open for business, making it easy to get a good meal or just a coffee.

Some of the features of the day include amusement rides, a silent disco, a petting zoo, sports events and other entertainment.

Some of the craftwork that will be on display and for sale is brought to us by Illawarra Vocational Services (IVS). These pieces include plants, pots, and garden decorations. Along with the ‘Next Step Program’, which will be selling candles, key rings and more.

So, if you’re in the area and/or don’t have anything else this Saturday.  Come along and enjoy some of  the 50th anniversary celebrations with The Disability Trust.
