Participants at Christmas in July

Festive spirit lights up for Christmas in July

The Disability Trust’s South-East Sydney and Southern Highlands participants got into the festive spirit for Christmas in July celebrations.

An enthusiastic bunch of 28 put on their finest Christmas threads for the Sydney special dinner event, turning out in some very bright festive sweaters.

The tables were set up in Christmas theme with classic yuletide tunes playing in the background.

Once they all greeted each other and caught up with their friends it was time to devour the catered dinner.

They enjoyed woodfire pizzas, a variety of homemade pastas and delicious fresh salads.

Then it was time for some pass the parcel fun and a Karaoke session with the participants belting out a cavalcade of well-known Christmas tunes.

A dessert featuring fresh fruit and chocolate cake was the perfect way to end the festive feast.

There was a similar evening held in the Southern Highlands with the participants settling down to a Christmas dinner and dressing up for the festive season in the middle of winter.

The participants at both events let The Disability Trust staff know that the night was a special one and they are now looking forward to the traditional Christmas festivities when they roll around in December.
