Emma Ruby House.

Spotlight on Emma Ruby House

The Emma Ruby House is located in Cook, ACT, and is specifically designed to cater for younger people living with disability needing short stay accommodation and respite.

Built by The Ricky Stuart Foundation, the house is a safe and comfortable space for teenagers and young adults to enjoy time away from home in a supported environment. The respite homes by The Ricky Stuart Foundation are suitable for all with disabilities, accommodating for both the physical and emotional requirements of the participants. It is fully accessible and conveniently located near shops and a local park, providing excellent access to a range of activities.

“We wanted a 5-star Hyatt for the children when they come and stay for a holiday”, founder Ricky Stuart stated. When staying at Emma Ruby House, participants can choose from various services aimed at developing their skills and experiences. The house boasts an open and airy environment, wrap around living area, and a sensory playground at the centre of the house.
