Sunday Funday is full steam ahead in Campbelltown

Our Campbelltown Sunday Funday group stepped back in time for an unforgettable adventure at the NSW Train Museum in Thirlmere. With wide eyes and big smiles, the group explored the fascinating exhibits filled with vintage locomotives, historic carriages, and interactive displays that sparked curiosity and excitement.

The day’s highlight was a 40-minute heritage train ride along the scenic and historic Loop Line. As the train chugged from Thirlmere Station, everyone enjoyed the rhythmic sounds of the tracks, the countryside views, and the unique experience of travelling aboard a beautifully restored carriage. For some, it was their first train ride — making the moment even more special!

The day was filled with laughter, shared stories, and train-themed fun. It was an excellent opportunity for the Sunday Funday group to bond, build confidence, and enjoy a safe, engaging experience in the community.

We can’t wait to see where our next Sunday Funday adventure takes us! If you or someone you know is interested in Sunday Funday or would like to learn more, visit the Sunday Funday page or contact The Disability Trust on 1300 347 224.
