Far South Coast Fashion Show

Our team in the Bega Valley has partnered again with the Sapphire Coast Anglican College this year to bring The Spring Fashion Show to the local community to enjoy. With an emphasis this year on the show being environmentally friendly, models from The Disability Trust and the student group at the College entertained the audience with vintage and second-hand outfits provided by Green Queen, The Bowerbird, Bus Stop Costumes, Salvation Army, and Vinnies.

It was fantastic to see our models develop their skills on the red carpet and grow in confidence during rehearsals. On the day they wowed the audience to heaps of smiles, loads of encouragement and deafening applause. It really was a fantastic event, and everyone is looking forward to bigger things to come in 2023.

A bonus outcome of the day was model Katie Harris securing a modelling engagement at the annual Breakfast at Tiffany’s event in Merimbula – with the local team super proud of their role in creating an opportunity for a mainstream community event to embrace inclusion and welcome a person with a disability as a valued contributor to their event.
