Delivering services with a smile to the Far South Coast of NSW.

Individualised Support & Community Access

Based in the land of Yuin Nation, The Disability Trust in the Bega Valley approaches disability support work with these three core elements: Individualised care, empowerment, and community integration. Our person-centred approach leads to more meaningful outcomes.

We have a strong commitment to empowering people living with disability to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives. In the Bega Valley a key focus for us is the facilitation of employment skills, leading to open employment or volunteer work. We have even helped individuals establish and run their own microbusinesses, becoming their own boss.

Our tailored individualised supports have an emphasis on skill-building and working towards independence. Even within group settings, the individualised approach is implemented. We work together to empower people living with disability to create plans to achieve their goals. Whether it is learning how to use public transport, grocery shopping, cooking, or other day-to-day tasks, our team provides the necessary guidance and resources.

To enrich community life, our activities are regionally based, and participants are warmly embraced by the community. We join in on regattas, surf competitions, and more! We understand that a strong sense of belonging and social engagement is vital for the wellbeing of everyone in the community. Our activities and events foster connection within the community, where their achievements can be celebrated by all.
