South East Queensland

Providing services to a growing region and expanding by the day.

Individualised Support & Community Access

Set on the Country known as both Yuggera and Turrbal, and the Yugambeh region of the Bundjalung Nation, The Disability Trust has been providing services in South East Queensland since 2021.

Based at Kay House Southport, our reputation and services in the area have grown considerably in a short space of time and we are looking to expand our footprint which currently spans from Logan in the north and the area south to the NSW border. There is always something happening on the Gold Coast and The Disability Trust is always on the go.

Client with Disability Support Worker

Disability support workers help with daily activities ranging from doctor’s appointments to shopping to trips to the beach for people throughout South East Queensland. The Score Bears program, which runs weekly on Wednesday nights all year round, teaches people with disability how to play rugby league in partnership with the Burleigh Bears club which competes in the Queensland Cup.

We have a dedicated team of staff who are focused on empowering people with a disability in our community, assisting them with achieving goals and doing all of the basic essentials needed to maintain or increase their independence. We can also assist with Access Requests for participants needing admission to the NDIS.

Nothing is unsurmountable, and sometimes it means being creative to ensure that each individual has their own tailor-made supports that enables each and every one, to reach their targets and maximise their potential. As the Gold Coast and surrounding areas continue to grow, The Disability Trust is aiming to provide more services to help people in the area reach their full potential.
