Youth Employment Services in the region, know as Next Step is centred around helping people with disability attain worthwhile and satisfying jobs in the local community. There is a strong focus on on training and making sure our job seekers are “work ready” by organising work experience and training, such as certificate courses, as well as correct clothing and equipment. Being active and part of the community is really important – the Sport and Recreation team is developing a range of programs to help people reach their goals. Day trips are also a huge part of The Disability Trust’s operations in the region. Whether it’s a trip to Canberra to watch a Big Bash League cricket match, taking in a concert or witnessing the thrills of a rodeo, there’s something for everyone.
