Our office in Goulburn is located on both Gundungurra and Ngunnawal Country. Covering a wide geographical area from the ACT border and inland towards the Southern Highlands and Sydney, The Disability Trust is proud to service Goulburn and surrounding areas.
We have roughly 60 staff members working from our Goulburn headquarters and throughout the region to deliver support services and activity participation opportunities for the communities we support. Creating an individualised approach to support participants to live their best life is our primary goal, whether that’s through the Club Trust day program, after-school or vacation care. Supported Independent Living is also a key part of the services on offer in the Goulburn region. We currently have three in the region with a variety of options for people looking for accommodation.
Youth Employment Services in the area are centred around helping people with disability attain worthwhile and satisfying jobs in the local community. There is a strong focus on on training and making sure our job seekers are “work ready” by organising work experience and training, such as certificate courses, as well as correct clothing and equipment. Being active and part of the community is really important – the Sport and Recreation team is developing a range of programs to help people reach their goals. Day trips are also a huge part of The Disability Trust’s operations in the region. Whether it’s a trip to Canberra to watch a Big Bash League cricket match, taking in a concert or witnessing the thrills of a rodeo, there’s something for everyone.
