Life Skills

Life Skills focuses on building skills using a tailored approach in a supportive group setting.

Each fortnight the group gets together to compile their newsletter called “The Scoop”.

Life Skills also holds a weekly cooking class and at the end of the 12-week program, the participants will have a wide range of new techniques and recipes at their disposal. Each budding chef chooses a meal every week and they go on a shopping expedition to select the ingredients.

NDIS funding is a requirement to join this program.

Experiences include:

  • Learn new cooking techniques, skills and delicious recipes
  • Improved health and wellbeing
  • Make new social connections in a supportive setting
  • Money handling skills
  • Independence
  • Positive relationships
  • Decision making skills
