Participant at Elton John concert

Rocking with Rocketman

Participant Pete and his support worker Joseph enjoyed a night rocking with the Rocketman himself, Sir Elton John. Pete and Joseph attended the singer’s Newcastle show on 10 January 2023, one of his final performances in Australia.

“The Elton John concert last night was unreal. At 75 years old, this was Pete’s first big concert and I got to share this new experience with him which I am so grateful for. This is what our work is all about.

Pete and I had such a good night, feet tapping away and singing our hearts out. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded into a Corporate Box and treated with free food and drinks through the performance. We had our own grandstand and the best view of the concert!

The evening panned out incredibly and it was such a wholesome feeling knowing Pete enjoyed himself, as it was unlike any experience he has had before. We rocked the night away and cried when Tiny Dancer came on, singing and clapping at Elton.

Party Pete is reading for his next concert now!”
