Shine Bright Like a Diamond Gala Night

The 20th Anniversary of The Disability Trust’s Gala Night was an outstanding success. Continuing the fantastic tradition of hosting the premier fundraising event in the region, Shine Bright Like a Diamond had many on the night referring to it as the best ever which is an amazing compliment considering that over the 20 years we had already raised 1.4 million dollars for local families and children with a disability!

Thanks especially to our partners Wests Illawarra, WAVE FM and the many businesses and supporters that always dig deep in their pockets to surpass our fundraising goals.

Huge thanks to our Organising Committee Melissa Hurley, Simone Lord, Heather Cowie, Margaret Biggs, Matthew Martin, Adrian Ceccato and led by Mereana Gordon. You made the night spectacular!!

We would also like to thank the following volunteers (who regularly put their hand up to help out). The night would not be possible without your help.

 Megan Barnes Michelle East
 Grace Pifferi Karen Gaskell
 Harjit Singh (Jade) Christine Humphrey
 Simone Stiff Alison Cook
 Mel Braidwood Shelly Burns
 Ashleigh Pye Gerald Farrugia
 Tracy Goodger Rebecca Coombes

In addition to raising approximately $140.000 on the night including donations from Wests Illawarra and the Taj Mahal Committee we are especially looking forward to purchasing a beach wheelchair and a tandem bike for the two children featured on our giving wall, Lachlan and Toby.
