The 2024 Illawarra Bean Counters Ball.

Bean Counters have a Ball to raise funds for a worthy cause

More than 150 guests ran away with the circus at The Illawarra Bean Counters Ball to raise more than $14,000 for The Disability Trust.

The second annual Illawarra Bean Counters Ball was held recently at The Fraternity Club at Fairy Meadow with funds raised from the black-tie event helping to support people with disability to live, work and belong in an inclusive world, specifically to help people pursue a career in the financial industry.

The first scholarship recipient was announced during the event. This scholarship opportunity involves studying an accounting course with paid work experience at The Disability Trust and other local financial organisations.

The Illawarra Bean Counters Ball committee was established by members of the local chapters of the Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Roving performers brought the circus theme to life at the Ball while the members of The Disability Trust’s Music Makers dance program received a huge ovation from the guests in attendance after unveiling their expertly choreographed performance.

We would like to thank the Illawarra Bean Counters committee and our sponsors Worrells, Chartered Accountants Australia, CPA Australia, Access Law Group, Lancaster Law and Mediation, and Colliers.

A big thank you to all who attended, donated, and supported the event.

We can’t wait to join you all again next year for an amazing fun-filled night.
