The Disability Trust supports Working With Children Week

Working with Children Week 2024 is being celebrated on 17-23 June by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian and The Disability Trust wholeheartedly supports this important event.

This year’s theme for the fourth annual event is “Families and communities are informed and involved”, which means including parents, carers and families in activities and consulting them on children’s development.

The Disability Trust is committed to ensuring all staff members and volunteers who provide services to anyone aged under 18 has a current Working With Children Check.

TDT and its charity organisation KidsWish provide a wide range of programs and events for children and we are committed to providing safe, quality services for them and their family members by maintaining an open and inclusive culture.

The Disability Trust has implemented a Child Safety Practice Focus group as one of the many ways that we prioritise the focus on ensuring our services are safe for children.
