Cailin’s Story

Cailin has attended after school and vacation care services in the Shoalhaven region since 2019. During this time, Cailin identified one of her major goals being to get her licence. To help her achieve this, our after school care staff supported her to access online learning material where she was able to sit and practice.

Further to this Cailin would often have questions regarding road rules or query what certain buttons were when traveling in the Sport and Rec vehicle. Staff were always happy to answer the questions to help develop her practical understanding.

Cailin was also able to further build on her social skills whilst attending vacation care which gave her the opportunity to build new friendships and build her confidence.

All staff in the Shoalhaven are extremely proud of Cailin and we congratulate her on reaching this big milestone of in her life that of obtaining her learners permit which will provide her with so many more opportunities to reach her long-term goals.

“I want to emphasise the valuable work you do with our children and how you are some of the important people that have been apart of Cailin’s life and walked along side her to become the bright young lady she is today.” – Cailin’s Mother.
