Drama Productions

Our Altogether Drama & Mischief Makers drama groups from the Illawarra performed at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre in June 2021.

Bug is a clever take on the events of 2020, written by the under 15’s in the Mischief Makers drama group under the direction of Anne Louise Rentell and The Disability Trust’s Maddie McRae. It is a story of the various universes attempting to come together to solve the issue of the “fusion bug” where once infected the next thing you touch you become. However their attempts to get the bug under control are constantly undermined by the self serving interests of Donald Grump.

Lost and Found (Cal’s Toys) by our Altogether Drama Group. Cal and his family are about to move to Melbourne and his beloved grandfather is moving into a nursing home but amid the chaos of the move a box of Cal’s toys get left behind. Meanwhile we meet grandpa’s toys from his childhood, Blue Ted and Mr Bojingles who are reminiscing about their adventures and looking forward to the new one.

The two groups come together and with their help the toys devise a plan to find their way back to their owner Cal who is desperately looking for them.

The productions were a great hit with the audiences and we look forward to their future shows.
