Family fun with Carols by Candlelight

On the 17th December, The Disability Trust celebrated Christmas with a wonderful ‘Carols by Candlelight’ event on Friday evening featuring our amazing performers from our South East Sydney Theatre group.

More than 80 people attended the event, including families of participants, support coordinators and former schoolteachers of participants. The whole evening had a lovely family feel, with guests bring eskies and blankets. There was even a food truck with the menu having been sent out to families in advance.

Special thanks to our South East Sydney Community team for the setup, installation of the fairy lights, and coordination and the ongoing support of the event.

A BIG thank you to our incredibly talented performers in our Theatre group and to Lisa Woodhouse and her support team for another wonderful performance despite the challenges of 2021. It was a triumph, especially as they only resumed face to face programs in October. It put a smile on everyone’s face and was a brilliant and positive way to end the year. Plans are already being drawn to hold a large Carols for public participation in 2022.
